Thanksgiving is a Federal Holiday which began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and the previous year. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November when families and friends gather for Thanksgiving dinner which typically includes roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 24th in 2023.
