Set a Monthly Focus

The Monthly Focus feature is default in the Social Media Channel in order to serve as a planning prompt in the Day and Month views and as a summary of Channel activity in the Flow view – two good use cases.

Once entered, the Monthly Focus appears in the following views:

  • Day – in the Overstory
  • Month – in the Overstory
  • Flow – as a type of Tactic under the appropriate Channel
  • Channels – as a type of Tactic under the appropriate Channel

    Activate the Monthly Focus feature in a Channel
    1. Within a Plan, Select “Plan Settings” and go to Channels
    2. Click on “Edit” for the Channel you would like to add this feature to
    3. Check the box next to “Include Monthly Focus in Overstory of Day and Month views and in Flow view”
    4. Click on “Save Channel”
    5. Close out of the Channel and Plan Settings

      Enter a Monthly Focus
      1. Click on “Add Tactic”
      2. Enter the “Topic” of the Monthly Focus¬†
      3. Select the Channel
      4. Select “Monthly Focus” as the Type
      5. Under Time Frame select the Month (Note: you can have more than one Monthly Focus in the same Channel in a month)
      6. Select Strategic Tags and Intiatives as relevant
      7. Click on “Save”

      Edit a Monthly Focus
      1. Click on “Edit” in the Overstory of the Day and Month views
      2. Click directly on it in the Flow view
      3. Click on “Edit” within the appropriate Channel table in the Channel view
